Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

ذكر عمرو بن العاص السهمي رضي الله عنه - ذكر إثبات الصدق والوفاء لأبي ذر رضي الله عنه-
Hadith Number: 7135
اخبرنا محمد بن نصر بن نوفل بمرو، حدثنا ابو داود السنجي سليمان بن معبد ، حدثنا النضر بن محمد ، حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار ، حدثنا ابو زميل ، عن مالك بن مرثد ، عن ابيه ، قال: قال ابو ذر : قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ما تقل الغبراء، ولا تظل الخضراء على ذي لهجة اصدق، واوفى من ابي ذر شبيه عيسى ابن مريم"، على نبينا وعليه السلام، قال: فقام عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه، فقال: يا نبي الله، افنعرف ذلك له؟ قال:" نعم، فاعرفوا له" .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: The earth has not carried anyone, nor has the sky shaded anyone, more truthful and more fulfilling of promises than Abu Dharr al-Ghifari. He resembles Sayyiduna Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him).
The narrator states: Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, should we introduce him in this manner? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, you should introduce him in this way.
