Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Book of the Prophet’s ﷺ Reports on the Virtues of the Companions, Men and Women, by Name
ذكر عمرو بن العاص السهمي رضي الله عنه - ذكر البيان بأن زيد بن ثابت كان من أفرض الصحابة-
Hadith Number: 7137
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا محمد بن ابي بكر المقدمي ، ومحمد بن خالد بن عبد الله ، ومحمد بن بشار ، وابو موسى ، قالوا: حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي ، حدثنا خالد ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ارحم امتي بامتي ابو بكر، واشدهم في امر الله عمر، واصدقهم حياء عثمان، واقرؤهم لكتاب الله ابي بن كعب، وافرضهم زيد بن ثابت، واعلمهم بالحلال والحرام معاذ بن جبل، ولكل امة امين، وامين هذه الامة ابو عبيدة بن الجراح" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among my Ummah, the most merciful towards my Ummah is Abu Bakr. The strictest regarding the matters of Allah is Umar. The most truthful in modesty is Uthman. The greatest scholar of Allah’s Book is Ubayy bin Ka’b. The greatest scholar of inheritance is Zayd bin Thabit. The greatest scholar of what is lawful and unlawful is Mu’adh bin Jabal. Every Ummah has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this Ummah is Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah."
