Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Book of the Prophet’s ﷺ Reports on the Virtues of the Companions, Men and Women, by Name
باب فضل الأمة - ذكر البيان بأن خير هذه الأمة الصحابة ثم التابعون-
Hadith Number: 7222
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب الجمحي ، حدثنا محمد بن كثير العبدي ، اخبرنا سفيان الثوري ، عن منصور ، عن إبراهيم ، عن عبيدة، عن عبد الله ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" خير الناس قرني، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم يجيء اقوام تسبق شهادة احدهم يمينه، ويمينه شهادته" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then there will come people among whom the testimony of one will precede his oath, and his oath will precede his testimony."
