And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts until I love him. Then, when I love him, if he asks of Me, I grant him, and if he supplicates to Me, I accept his supplication. And I do not hesitate in anything as I hesitate in taking the soul of My servant, for he dislikes death and I dislike to harm him."

Narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse of the Holy Qur'an: Allah is He Who has sent down to you the Book; in it are verses that are precise—they are the foundation of the Book—and others are ambiguous. As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they will follow that which is ambiguous, seeking discord and seeking its interpretation. But no one knows its interpretation except Allah. And those firm in knowledge say: "We believe in it; all is from our Lord." And none will be reminded except those of understanding. And he said: When you see those who argue about the verses of the Qur'an, they are the ones Allah meant, so beware of them.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Sometimes revelation comes to me with a sound like the ringing of a bell; this form is the hardest for me, but when this state departs from me, I have understood the message that was sent. And sometimes the angel comes to me in the form of a man and what he says, I remember it."
