Sayyiduna Yazid bin Shiban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Ibn Murabba’ Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us while we were standing in ‘Arafah at a place distant from the standing place of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He informed us: I have come to you as a messenger on behalf of Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Remain at your place, for you are the heirs to the legacy of Ibrahim (peace be upon him).”

Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The narrator named Sufyan would sometimes say,“Remember these words,”and sometimes he would say,“You are the heirs of your forefather Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him).”
