Hadith Number: 726
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ايوب السختياني ، عن مجاهد ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن كعب بن عجرة ، قال: مر بي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالحديبية وانا اوقد تحت قدر او برمة، والقمل يتهافت من راسي، فقال: " ايؤذيك هوامك يا كعب؟" , قلت: نعم، قال:" فاحلق راسك، وانسك نسيكة، او صم ثلاثة ايام، او اطعم فرقا بين ستة مساكين" .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me at Hudaybiyyah while I was lighting a fire under a pot, and lice were falling from my head. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Ka'b! Are the lice causing you trouble?" I replied: Yes. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shave your head and offer a sacrifice, or fast for three days, or feed six needy people one 'farq' of food. (This is equal to twelve mudd.)"

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي نجيح ، عن مجاهد ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن كعب بن عجرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مثله، إلا انه قال:" اوقد تحت قدر"، وقال:" واذبح شاة".
The same narration is transmitted from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a similar manner, however, in it are these words: I was lighting a fire under a pot, and in it are these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You should slaughter a goat."

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن ابي زياد ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن كعب بن عجرة ، قال: علمنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الصلاة عليه، فقال: " قولوا: اللهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد، كما صليت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنك حميد مجيد، اللهم بارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد" .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us the method of sending blessings upon himself. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You should say this: 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, send blessings and blessings upon Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings and blessings upon Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.'"

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: وحدثني عبد الكريم ابو امية ، عن مجاهد ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن كعب بن عجرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، بمثله.
This same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
