803 - حدثنا الحميدي قال: ثنا سفيان، قال: ثنا ابن جريج، عن الحسن بن مسلم بن يناق، عن طاوس، قال: رايت ابن عباس لقي زيد بن ارقم، فجعل يستذكره حديثا، فقال: كيف حدثتني عن رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم في لحم الصيد؟ فذكر زيد بن ارقم، عن رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم، نحو حديث الصعب بن جثامة
Tawoos narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). He met Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), so he reminded Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) of a hadith, and said: How did you narrate to me this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the meat of game? So Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated before him a similar narration from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jaththamah (may Allah be pleased with him).

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الاجلح بن عبد الله بن حجية الكندي ، عن الشعبي ، عن عبد الله بن ابي الخليل ، عن زيد بن ارقم ، قال: اتى علي بن ابي طالب باليمن، في ثلاثة نفر وقعوا على جارية لهم في طهر واحد، فجاءت بولد، فقال علي لاثنين منهم: اتطيبان به نفسا لصاحبكما؟ قالا: لا، ثم قال للآخرين: اتطيبان به نفسا لصاحبكما؟ قالا: لا، ثم قال لآخرين: اتطيبان نفسا لصاحبكما؟ قالا: لا، فقال علي: انتم شركاء متشاكسون، إنني مقرع بينكم، فايكم اصابته القرعة الزمته الولد، واغرمته ثلثي قيمة الجارية لصاحبيه، فلما قدمنا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذكرنا ذلك له، فقال:" ما اعلم فيها إلا ما قال علي" ,
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In Yemen, three men were brought before Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who had intercourse with their slave woman during the same period of purity, and that slave woman gave birth to a child. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to two of them: "Would you both like to relinquish your claim in favor of your third companion?" Both of them replied: "No." Then Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the remaining two: "Would you both like to relinquish your claim in favor of your companion?" They also replied: "No." So Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You are partners who differ among yourselves. I will draw lots among you. Whose name is drawn, I will attribute the child to him, and he will have to pay his two companions two-thirds of the value of the slave woman as compensation." Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When we presented ourselves before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned this matter to him, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My opinion in this matter is the same as what Ali has stated."

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو سهل ، عن الشعبي ، عن علي بن ذري ، عن زيد بن ارقم ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، بمثله.
This narration is also transmitted with another chain of transmission.
