Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik ‘Amiri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present with those Bedouins when they were asking the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),“Will we be sinful in this matter? Will we be sinful in that matter?”So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O servants of Allah! Allah has removed hardship except for the one who seeks to violate his brother’s honor; this is the thing that brings hardship and leads to destruction.”

The people asked,“O Messenger of Allah! Should we use medicine?”The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O servants of Allah! Use medicine, for Allah has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure, except for old age.”

The people asked,“O Messenger of Allah! Of all the things given to a Muslim servant, which is the best?”The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Good character.”
