When there is hope that, after listening to the Noble Qur'an and the remembrance of Allah, they may accept Islam and it may greatly soften their hearts. Allah Almighty says: «‏‏‏‏فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَٰذَا» ‏‏‏‏ [ سورة التوبة: 28 ] "O you who believe, indeed the polytheists are impure, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this year."

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that a black woman was a slave of an Arab tribe. They set her free and she continued to live with them. One day, a girl of theirs went outside the house. She was wearing a red leather waistband necklace. That waistband necklace fell down. A kite passed by and, thinking it was meat, snatched it up (and flew away). The people of the tribe searched for it but could not find the waistband necklace. They accused the slave woman of stealing it. Then they searched her, even to the extent of searching her private parts. While they were still searching and investigating, the kite passed by again and dropped the waistband necklace. It fell among them, so the slave woman said to them, "This is the necklace for which you accused me, even though I was completely innocent of it. And now it is lying before you." Then she went to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and became Muslim, so her tent or hut was set up in the mosque. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that she used to come and sit with me, and whenever she came and sat with me, she would recite this verse: "Wa yawma al-wishāḥi min ta‘ājībi rabbina illā annahu min baldati al-kufri anjānī" (And the day of the waistband necklace’s loss and recovery is among the wonders of my Lord. Except that He granted me salvation from the land of disbelief.) I asked her, "What is the reason that whenever you sit with me, you recite this verse?" So she narrated this incident to me. I have mentioned the hadiths regarding setting up dome-shaped tents in mosques for i‘tikaf in the Book of I‘tikaf.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) was struck by an arrow in the median vein (during the Battle of the Trench) and was severely wounded. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a tent pitched for him in the mosque so that he could be close by to tend to him. The narrator says that his wound began to heal. Then he supplicated to Allah Almighty,“O Allah, You well know that nothing is more beloved to me than that I fight in Your cause against those people who denied Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), expelled him (from Makkah Mukarramah), and inflicted various kinds of harm upon him. I think that You have ended the war between us and them. Therefore, make my wound flow so that my death (martyrdom) may occur because of this wound.”The narrator says that he was in this state when one night his wound burst open, and so much blood flowed from it that it entered the tent of other people. So they called out and asked,“O people of the tent, what is this thing coming from your side into our tent?”When they looked, they saw that the chest of Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) had burst open due to the wound, and his blood was gushing out with a loud sound.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Sulaiman bin Dawud (peace be upon him) finished the construction of Bayt al-Maqdis, he prayed to Allah Almighty to grant him judgment in accordance with His command, and to grant him such a kingdom and authority that no one after him would be given, and that whoever comes to this mosque with the sole intention of performing prayer, may he be cleansed of sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The first two prayers were accepted, and I hope that the third prayer will also be accepted.”

The chapter on the middle prayer that Allah commanded to maintain repeatedly and emphatically, even after it was included among the prayers to be maintained

Hadith Number: Q1335
And this is from the connecting waw (waaw al-wasl) which we say is only for the meaning of repetition and emphasis, not from the separating waw (waaw al-fasl), since it is impossible that the middle prayer is not among the prayers. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} [البقرة: ٢٣٨] So the middle prayer was included among the prayers which Allah commanded at the beginning of the mention to be maintained, then He said: {وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} [البقرة: ٢٣٨] for the meaning of repetition and emphasis. I have thoroughly discussed this type in the Book of Faith when mentioning the objection of those who objected to us and claimed that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has separated between faith and righteous deeds with a waw of initiation in His saying: {وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ} [البقرة: ٨٢]
