باب مِنْ فَضَائِلِ غِفَارَ وَأَسْلَمَ وُجُهَيْنَةَ وَأَشْجَعَ وَمُزَيْنَةَ وَتَمِيمٍ وَدَوْسٍ وَطَيِّئٍ:
Chapter: The Virtues Of Ghifar, Aslam, Juhainah, Ashja', Muzainah, Tamim, Daws and Tayy'

حدثني زهير بن حرب ، حدثنا احمد بن إسحاق ، حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن مغيرة ، عن عامر ، عن عدي بن حاتم ، قال: اتيت عمر بن الخطاب، فقال لي: " إن اول صدقة بيضت وجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ووجوه اصحابه صدقة طيئ جئت بها إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ".
'Adi bin Hatim reported: I came to Umar bin Khattab and he said to me: The first consignment of Sadaqa brought to Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) which brightened the face of Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and the faces of his Companions was that of Tayyi.

حدثنا يحيي بن يحيي ، اخبرنا المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: واصحابه، فقالوا: يا قدم الطفيل رسول الله، " إن دوسا قد كفرت وابت فادع الله عليها، فقيل: هلكت دوس، فقال: اللهم اهد دوسا وائت بهم ".
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Tufail and his companions said: Allah's Messenger, the tribe of Daws has disbelieved and has belied you, so invoke curse upon them. It was said: Let Daws be destroyed, whereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: Allah guide aright the tribe of Daws and direct them to me.

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا جرير ، عن مغيرة ، عن الحارث ، عن ابي زرعة ، قال: قال ابو هريرة : " لا ازال احب بني تميم من ثلاث سمعتهن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: هم اشد امتي على الدجال، قال: وجاءت صدقاتهم، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: هذه صدقات قومنا، قال: وكانت سبية منهم عند عائشة، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: اعتقيها فإنها من ولد إسماعيل ".
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: Since I heard three things from Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) my love for Banu Tamim is never on the decline (and these things are): I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying about them that they would put up stout resistance against Dajjal amongst my Umma. And he (the narrator) said: (When) the consignment of Zakat was brought to him, Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: This is the charity of our people, and there was one slave-girl in the house of 'A'isha and she was from the tribe of Banu Tamim; thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Set her free, for she is from the offspring of Isma'il.

وحدثنا حامد بن عمر البكراوي ، حدثنا مسلمة بن علقمة المازني ، إمام مسجد داود، حدثنا داود ، عن الشعبي ، عن ابي هريرة، قال: ثلاث خصال سمعتهن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بني تميم، لا ازال احبهم بعد، وساق الحديث بهذا المعنى غير انه، قال: هم اشد الناس قتالا في الملاحم، ولم يذكر الدجال.
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: There are some distinguishing features of Banu Tamim which I heard from Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and my love for them is never on the decline after that and the words are: They are the bravest amongst people in the battlefield and there is no mention of (the word)" Dajjal".

حدثني حرملة بن يحيي ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، حدثني سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " تجدون الناس معادن، فخيارهم في الجاهلية خيارهم في الإسلام، إذا فقهوا وتجدون من خير الناس في هذا الامر اكرههم له، قبل ان يقع فيه، وتجدون من شرار الناس ذا الوجهين الذي ياتي هؤلاء بوجه وهؤلاء بوجه ".
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: You would find people like those of mine, the good amongst you in the Days of Ignorance would be good amongst you in the days of Islam, provided they have an understanding of it and you will find good amongst people the persons who would be averse to position of authority until it is thrust upon them, and you will find the worst amongst persons one who has double face. He comes with one face to them and with the other face to the others.

حدثني زهير بن حرب ، حدثنا جرير ، عن عمارة ، عن ابي زرعة ، عن ابي هريرة . ح وحدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن الحزامي ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: تجدون الناس معادن، بمثل حديث الزهري، غير ان في حديث ابي زرعة، والاعرج، تجدون من خير الناس في هذا الشان اشدهم له كراهية حتى يقع فيه.

Chapter: The Virtues Of The Women Of The Quraish

حدثنا ابن ابي عمر ، حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة . ح وعن ابن طاوس ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " خير نساء ركبن الإبل "، قال احدهما: صالح نساء قريش، وقال الآخر: نساء قريش احناه على يتيم في صغره وارعاه على زوج في ذات يده.
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Good amongst the women are those who ride camels. One of them said: They are pious women of the Quraish, and the other one said: The women of the Quraish are kind to the orphans in their childhood and look after the wealth of their spouses.

حدثنا عمرو الناقد ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة يبلغ به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وابن طاوس، عن ابيه، يبلغ به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، بمثله، غير انه قال: ارعاه على ولد في صغره ولم يقل يتيم.
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) with a slight variation of wording and there is no word" orphan".

حدثني حرملة بن يحيي ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، حدثني سعيد بن المسيب ، ان ابا هريرة ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " نساء قريش خير نساء ركبن الإبل، احناه على طفل وارعاه على زوج في ذات يده "، قال: يقول ابو هريرة: على إثر ذلك، ولم تركب مريم بنت عمران بعيرا قط.
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: The women of the Quraish are good amongst the womenfolk. They ride camels and show affection to their children and zealously guard the wealth of their husbands. Abu Hurairah (RA) said at the end of this narration that Mary, the daughter of Imran, never rode the camel.
