So Abu Talhah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: O Anas! Get up and break these pitchers. Then I took a stone (a pestle) and struck those pitchers until they were shattered into pieces.

He replied: No. Then that man whispered to someone near him, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What did you say to him secretly?" He said: I told him to sell it. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who made its drinking unlawful has also made its selling (unlawful)." Then that man opened both water skins until all the wine in them flowed out.
