The Prophet comforted his companions
Hadith Number: 342
It is narrated from Kharijah bin Zaid bin Thabit, he says that some people came to Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and they requested him to narrate some hadiths from the sayings of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "What things should I narrate before you? I was a neighbor of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Whenever revelation would descend upon him, he would send for me and I would write down that revelation. When we talked about worldly matters, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also converse with us in the same manner, and when we mentioned matters of the Hereafter, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would also talk with us in the same way, and when we talked about food, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would also discuss that with us. These are all the things that I narrate to you about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."

Treating even bad people kindly
Hadith Number: 343
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would turn his entire radiant face and speak gently even to the worst person of the people, so that he might gain affection and inclination because of it. In the same way, he would give me his full attention and speak to me with loving words, until I became convinced that I was the best person among the people. I asked,“O Messenger of Allah! Am I better or Abu Bakr?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied,“Abu Bakr.”Then I asked,“Am I better or Umar?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied,“Umar.”Then I asked,“Am I better or Uthman?”The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied,“Uthman.”When I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) this, he gave me a most truthful answer; however, I wished that I had not asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this.

The Prophet never rebuked his servant in ten years
Hadith Number: 344
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I had the honor of serving the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten years. He never even said "uff" to me, nor did he ever say regarding any task I did, "Why did you do this?" And if I did not do something, he never said, "Why did you not do this?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the best of all people in character, and I have never touched any silk or silky cloth or anything soft that was softer than the blessed palm of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And I have never smelled any musk or perfume that was more fragrant than the blessed sweat of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

How to face unpleasant matters
Hadith Number: 345
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that he relates from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that a man came and sat near the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, whose clothes had a yellow stain. The narrator says that the noble habit of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was such that he would not forbid anything unpleasant directly to someone's face, so when that man left, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to the people: "If only you had told him to stop applying the yellow color."

It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was neither naturally foul-mouthed nor did he speak foul words deliberately, nor did he raise his voice in the markets, nor did he repay evil with evil, but he would forgive and turn away.

Hadith Number: 348
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: Whenever any injustice or excess was done to the Prophet (peace be upon him), I never saw him taking revenge or seeking retribution for it. But when the sanctities of Allah were violated and dishonored, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would become the most angry. And whenever he was given a choice between two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, provided it was not sinful.

Dealing kindly with bad people
Hadith Number: 349
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I was with him at that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(He is) a bad son or brother of his tribe and family." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him permission to enter and spoke to him gently. When he left, I said: You spoke about him in such a manner, yet you spoke to him gently? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aisha! The worst person is the one whom people abandon or leave in order to avoid his evil."

The Prophet's noble character
Hadith Number: 350
Sayyiduna Husayn ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked my noble father (Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtada, may Allah be pleased with him) about the conduct and behavior of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with his close companions. He replied:“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was always cheerful, gentle in character, soft-natured, neither harsh-faced nor hard-hearted, did not make noise, did not speak indecently, did not find faults in others, was neither harsh in speech nor ill-tempered, neither shouted nor uttered obscenities, nor was he miserly or greedy. He would overlook things he did not desire, and if someone hoped for something from him, he would not disappoint him nor send him away empty-handed. He kept himself free from three things: argumentation, arrogance, and useless talk. And he kept people safe from three things: he would not criticize anyone, nor expose anyone’s faults, nor seek out matters that would bring shame if they occurred. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would only speak that from which reward was hoped. When he spoke, the people of the gathering would lower their necks as if birds were sitting on their heads, and when he became silent after speaking, then the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would speak. They would not argue in his presence, and when someone spoke, the people of the gathering would listen silently until he finished his speech. The conversation of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in his presence was as if it was the speech of the first person. He would smile at what made the Companions smile, and would be amazed at what amazed them. He would bear with patience the rudeness, harshness, and bad manners of strangers and travelers in their questioning, to the extent that the Companions (seeing this beautiful conduct) would themselves bring such questioners to his gathering. And he himself would say that when you see someone in need, help him. He would accept praise from one who was moderate, and would not interrupt anyone’s speech until he exceeded the limits, in which case he would stop him or get up and leave.”
