It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“On the Day of Resurrection, some prophets will come with two followers, some with three, and some with more or less than that. The prophet will be asked: ‘Did you convey the message to your people?’ He will say: ‘Yes.’ Then his nation will be called and asked: ‘Did your prophet convey (Allah’s) message to you?’ They will say: ‘No.’ The prophet will be asked: ‘Who will testify in your favor?’ He will say: ‘Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his ummah.’ So the ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will be called and it will be said to them: ‘Did this prophet convey (Allah’s) message to his people?’ They will say: ‘Yes.’ Allah, the Exalted, will ask: ‘How did you know?’ They will say: ‘Our prophet told us that all the messengers conveyed (Allah’s) message to their nations, and we affirmed him.’ This is the meaning of Allah’s statement: ‘And thus We have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you.’ (Surah al-Baqarah: 143)”

Sayyiduna Sa'id bin 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was sitting in Hatim. He said: Ibn Zubair! Beware of deviation in Allah's Sacred Sanctuary. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A man from Quraysh will deem Makkah and the Sacred Sanctuary of Makkah lawful and permissible. If his sins are weighed against the sins of jinn and mankind, his sins will outweigh them." O Ibn 'Amr! Reflect and ponder, lest you be that man. You have recited the Qur'an and kept the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I make you a witness that my face is towards Shaam; I am going for jihad.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "From Aden Abyan, twelve thousand men will emerge; they will support Allah and His Messenger, and they will be the best among me and between their (own) generations."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam will gradually fade away like the fading of embroidery on a garment, until people will not know what prayer, fasting, sacrifice, or charity are. In one night, the letters of Allah’s Book will be erased, and not a single verse will remain on the earth. The old men and old women who remain among the people will say, 'We heard our forefathers saying this word «لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّـهُ» , so we also say it.'" Sila bin Zufar said to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah: "What do you mean by «لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّـهُ» , when they will not know what prayer, fasting, sacrifice, or charity are?" Sayyiduna Hudhayfah turned away from him. He asked the same question three times, and each time Sayyiduna Hudhayfah avoided answering. The third time, he said: "Sila! This word will save them from Hell."

Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“This religion will become manifest and will cross the seas, until horses (in the path of Allah) will enter the sea. Then there will come people who will recite the Qur’an, and after reciting it they will say: We have recited the Qur’an, who is a better reciter than us? Who has more knowledge than us?”Then, turning to his companions, he asked:“What do you think, will there be any good in them?”They replied:“No.”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“These people will be from among you, they will be from this Ummah, and they will be the fuel of the Fire.”

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When our Lord will uncover His Shin, every believing man and woman will prostrate to Him, but those who used to prostrate (in the world) for showing off and for fame will remain (standing). Each of them will try to prostrate (to bow down), but his back will become a single plank."

Abu Nadrah says: We were with Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), and he said: It is near that the import of qafeez and dirham to the people of Iraq will be stopped. We said: How will this happen? He said: From the non-Arabs (there will come a time when) they will stop it. Then it is near that the import of dinar and mudd to the people of Sham will be stopped. We said: How will this happen? He said: From the Romans (there will come a time when) they will stop it. After that, he paused for a little while from speaking and then said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "At the end of my Ummah there will be a caliph who will give handfuls of wealth (to the people) and will not count it." I said to Abu Nadrah and Abu Alaa: What do you think, could he be Umar bin Abdul Aziz? They said: No.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last era of my Ummah, there will appear people who will have whips like the tails of cows. They will begin their mornings in the displeasure of Allah, and they will end their evenings in His wrath and anger."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are two types of people among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not yet seen: (1) People who have whips like the tails of cattle, with which they beat people. And (2) women who, though clothed, are naked, who attract others and are themselves inclined towards them; their heads are like the humps of Bactrian camels. Such women will neither enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance, even though its fragrance can be perceived from a great distance."

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon the people of the nations will attack you just as eaters gather around a bowl." Someone said: "Will we be few in number at that time?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will be numerous, but you will be like the foam and scum carried by a flood, and Allah will remove fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will cast «وهن» into your hearts." Someone said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is «وهن» ?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Love of the world and dislike of death is called «وهن» ."
