Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
Description of Iblis and his army.
Sayyiduna Sulaiman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was sitting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and two men were abusing each other. One of them's face turned red with anger and his veins swelled. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "I know a supplication, if this person recites it, his anger will go away. If he says: 'A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajim' (I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed devil), his anger will depart." So the people said to that person that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has said this, so seek refuge with Allah from the devil! He said: "Am I mad (that I should seek refuge from the devil)?" (Perhaps this person was an ignorant villager or a hypocrite, so he did not accept this advice.)
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Yawning is from the devil, so when one of you feels like yawning, he should try to restrain it as much as possible, because when one of you says 'Ha' while yawning, the devil laughs."
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A good dream is from Allah and a bad dream is from Satan. So when any of you sees a bad dream (a dream that frightens him), he should spit on his left side (three times) and seek refuge in Allah from its evil, then that (dream) will not harm him."
Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "When any one of you wakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he should blow his nose three times, for the devil spends the night at the upper part of his nose."
Allah’s statement: He spread all kinds of creatures in it (the earth).
Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying from the pulpit in a sermon: "Kill snakes wherever you find them, and do not leave alive the two (white) striped ones and the one with a cut tail, for they cause blindness and cause pregnant women to miscarry." Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was chasing a snake to kill it when Abu Lubabah (may Allah be pleased with him) called out to me (and said): Do not kill it. So I said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has ordered us to kill snakes. He said: Indeed, but after that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade killing house snakes. (Az-Zuhri said:) Such snakes are called 'al-'awamir' (because they stay in the house for a long time, they are called 'awamir', meaning long-lived ones).
The best wealth for Muslims is sheep grazing on hilltops.
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Some people among the Children of Israel disappeared; no one knew what they had done. Their forms were transformed. I think that those people became mice, because if camel's milk is placed before a mouse, it does not drink it (in the religion of the Children of Israel, the camel was forbidden), but if goat's milk is placed, it drinks it." So I (Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "Did you hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" I said, "Yes." (Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him) kept asking me the same thing repeatedly, so I said, "(If I had not heard it from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,) then do I read the Torah?"
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The peak of disbelief is towards the east, and pride and arrogance are among the horsemen, camel riders, and landowners, while tranquility and contentment are among the shepherds of goats."
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pointed with his hand towards Yemen and then said:“(True) faith is in Yemen. Harshness and hard-heartedness (cruelty) are among those people who drive the camels by holding their tails.”(Then he pointed towards the east and said:)“From where the horns of Satan will emerge, that is, among the tribes of Rabi’ah and Mudar (there will be harshness and cruelty).”
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you hear the rooster crowing (giving the call), then ask Allah for His bounty and grace, because (at that time) the rooster sees an angel. And when you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge with Allah from Satan, because (at that time) it sees Satan."
If a fly falls in someone’s food or drink, immerse it, for one wing has disease and the other cure.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a fly falls into the drink of any one of you, he should dip it in, then take it out, for on one of its wings is disease and on the other is cure."
