Virtue of offering prayer in congregation
Hadith Number: 154
اخبرنا ابو الوليد هشام بن عبد الملك، نا ابو عوانة، عن الاشعث بن ابي الشعثاء، عن ابي الاحوص، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((فضل صلاة الرجل في الجمع على صلاة الفذ خمس وعشرون درجة)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than his prayer alone."

Hadith Number: 155
اخبرنا النضر، نا شعبة، عن قتادة، عن عقبة بن وساج، عن ابي الاحوص، عن عبد الله، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نحوه.
Abu Al-Ahwas narrated from Abdullah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a narration similar to this.

The imam should keep the congregation short
Hadith Number: 156
اخبرنا وكيع، نا ابن ابي خالد، عن ابيه، قال: رايت ابا هريرة صلى صلاة الفجر تجوز فيها، قال: فقلت: يا ابا هريرة هكذا كانت صلاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((نعم، واوجز)).
Ibn Abi Khalid narrated from his father, he said: I saw Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), he performed the Fajr prayer and he would shorten it. I said: Abu Huraira! Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) use to pray like this? He said: Yes, even shorter than this.

If a dog, donkey, or woman passes in front of a praying person, the prayer is invalidated
Hadith Number: 157
اخبرنا معاذ بن هشام، حدثني ابي، عن قتادة، عن زرارة بن ابي اوفى، عن سعد بن هشام، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((يقطع الصلاة الكلب والحمار والمراة)).
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "A dog, a donkey, and a woman (by passing in front of the one praying) break the prayer."

The importance of setting up a barrier in prayer
Hadith Number: 158
اخبرنا عبد الرزاق، نا معمر، والثوري، عن إسماعيل بن امية، عن ابي عمرو بن حريث، عن ابيه، عن ابي هريرة، يرفعه، قال: ((إذا صلى احدكم فليصل إلى شيء يستره، فإن لم يجد فليتخط خطا، ثم لا يمر ما بين يديه)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates marfu‘an that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you prays, he should pray facing something which he takes as a sutrah. If he does not find anything, he should draw a line. Then, whoever passes in front of him after that will not harm him."

Virtue of saying "Ameen" aloud after Surah Al-Fatihah
Hadith Number: 159
اخبرنا جرير، عن ليث بن ابي سليم، عن كعب، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إذا قال الإمام ﴿ولا الضالين﴾ [الفاتحة: 7] فوافق آمين اهل الارض بآمين الملائكة اهل السماء غفر الله للعبد ما تقدم من ذنبه، ومثل من لا يقول آمين كمثل رجل غزا مع قوم فاقرعوا فخرجت سهامهم فلم يخرج سهمه، فقال: ما لي لا يخرج سهمي؟ فقيل: إنك لم تقل آمين"، قال ابو هريرة رضي الله عنه: وكان الإمام إذا قال: ﴿ولا الضالين﴾ [الفاتحة: 7] جهر بآمين.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "When the Imam says «ولا الضالين» and the 'Ameen' of the people of the earth coincides with the 'Ameen' of the inhabitants of the heavens, Allah forgives all the previous sins of the servant. And the example of the person who does not say 'Ameen' is like that of a man who went on a journey of jihad with some people, and they drew lots. Their share came out before his share, so he said: Why did my share not come out? He was told: You did not say 'Ameen'." Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It was the practice of the Imam that when he said «ولا الضالين» , he would say 'Ameen' in a loud voice.
تخریج الحدیث: «سيدنا ابوهريره رضى الله عنه نے فرمايا: امام كا معمول تها كه جب وه (ولا الضالين) كهتا تو بلند آواز كے ساته آمين كهتا .»
Warning against abandoning congregational prayer
Hadith Number: 160
اخبرنا وكيع، نا جعفر بن برقان، عن يزيد بن الاصم، عن ابي هريرة، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((لقد هممت ان آمر بالصلاة فتقام، ثم آمر فتيتي فيجمعوا حزم الحطب، ثم نحرق على اقوام لا يشهدون الصلاة)).
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "I intended to order for the prayer to be established, then for the call to prayer (iqamah) to be given, then to order some young men to gather bundles of wood, then to have them set fire to those who do not come to the prayer."

Hadith Number: 161
اخبرنا كثير بن هشام، نا جعفر بن برقان، نا يزيد بن الاصم، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((لقد هممت ان آمر فتيتي، فيجمعوا حزم الحطب، ثم آمر بالصلاة فتقام، ثم احرق على اقوام بيوتهم يسمعون النداء، ثم لا ياتوها))، قال: فقيل ليزيد بن الاصم إلى جمعة، قال: ما سمعت ابا هريرة ذكر جمعة ولا غيرها.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "I intended to order the young men to gather bundles of wood, then I would command for the prayer and the call to prayer would be given, then I would burn the houses of those who hear the call to prayer but do not come to perform the prayer."

اخبرنا الفضل بن موسى، والملائي، بهذا الإسناد مثله ولم يذكر قول يزيد.
Fadl bin Musa and Al-Mala'i narrated with this chain in a similar manner.

Hadith Number: 163
اخبرنا مروان بن معاوية الفزاري، نا عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن الاصم، عن عمه، يزيد بن الاصم، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: جاء اعمى إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: إنه ليس لي قائد يقودني إلى الصلاة فساله ان يرخص له في بيته فاذن له، فلما ولى دعاه، فقال له: ((هل تسمع النداء بالصلاة؟)) فقال: نعم، قال: ((فاجب)).
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A blind man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "I have no guide to lead me to the prayer (in congregation)." So he requested the Prophet to grant him permission to pray at home. The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave him permission. When he turned to leave, the Prophet (peace be upon him) called him back and said: "Do you hear the call to prayer (adhan)?" He replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Then come for the prayer."
