Description of the boundaries of Miqat
Hadith Number: 347
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulaifah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and he said:“These are (the miqat) for the people of those places and also for those who are not residents of those places but pass through them. These are the miqat for those performing Hajj and ‘Umrah. Whoever’s family lives within the miqat, then he may enter into ihram from wherever he wishes, even the people of Makkah will enter into ihram from within Makkah itself.”
