مسند ابي سعيد الخدري رضي الله تعالى عنه
Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 11361
(حديث قدسي) حدثنا معاوية ، حدثنا شيبان ، عن فراس ، عن عطية ، عن ابي سعيد ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من تقرب إلى الله شبرا تقرب الله إليه ذراعا، ومن تقرب إليه ذراعا تقرب إليه باعا، ومن اتاه يمشي اتاه الله هرولة".
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever comes closer to Allah by a handspan, Allah comes closer to him by a cubit; and whoever comes closer to Allah by a cubit, Allah comes closer to him by a fathom; and whoever comes to Allah walking, Allah comes to him running.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف عطية العوفي
