Musnad of Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 14211
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of digging the trench, three days passed over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions in such a state that they had not tasted anything. While digging the trench, at one point the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "O Messenger of Allah! Here a rock from the mountain has come in the way." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sprinkle water on it." They sprinkled water on it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, took a pickaxe, recited Bismillah, and struck it three times. At that moment, the rock broke and became a mound of sand. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I noticed at that time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had tied a stone to his blessed stomach.
