Hadith Number: 16827
حدثنا عبد القدوس ابو المغيرة ، قال: حدثنا حريز يعني ابن عثمان الرحبي ، قال: حدثنا راشد بن سعد المقرائي ، عن ابي حي ، عن ذي مخمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " كان هذا الامر في حمير، فنزعه الله عز وجل منهم، فجعله في قريش وسيعود إليهم" وكذا كان في كتاب ابي مقطع، وحيث حدثنا به تكلم على الاستواء
It is narrated from Hazrat Dhu Makhmar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At first, rulership was with the tribe of Himyar, then Allah took it from them and placed it among the Quraysh, and soon it will return to them again."
