حديث عمران بن حصين رضي الله عنهما
Hadith of Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 19935
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا همام ، قال: سئل قتادة عن الشفع والوتر، فقال: ثنا عمران بن عصام الضبعي ، عن شيخ من اهل البصرة، عن عمران بن حصين , ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " هي الصلاة: منها شفع، ومنها وتر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the meaning of the words "By the even and the odd" in Surah Al-Fajr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It refers to prayer, as some prayers are even and some are odd.
