Hazrat Khabbab bin Al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I used to work with iron in Makkah Mukarramah and I was working for ‘As bin Wa’il. Once, a sum of dirhams became due to me from him. I came to him to demand them, so he said,“I will not pay your debt until you deny Muhammad.”I said,“I will not deny Muhammad, not even if you die and are brought back to life.”He said,“When I am brought back to life, I will have wealth and children (then I will pay your debt).”I mentioned this incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so Allah revealed this verse:“Have you seen the one who disbelieves in Our verses and says, ‘I will surely be given wealth and children [in the Hereafter] ?’”
