It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cauterized Sa’d or As’ad bin Zurara (may Allah be pleased with him) due to a wound, and said:“Whatever treatment I find brings them health and well-being, I will certainly adopt that method.”
