مسند عبد اللہ بن العباس بن عبد المطلب رضي اللہ عنهما
Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 3483
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، حدثنا معمر ، عن عبد الكريم ، عن عكرمة ، قال: قال ابن عباس : قال ابو جهل: ولئن رايت محمدا يصلي عند الكعبة، لاطان على عنقه، فبلغ ذلك النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" لو فعل، لاخذته الملائكة عيانا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Abu Jahl said: If I see Muhammad (peace be upon him) praying near the Ka'bah, I will go to him and crush his neck. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "If he had advanced to do so, the angels would have seized him before the eyes of everyone."
