Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 4861
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يزيد ، اخبرنا إسماعيل ، عن ابي حنظلة ، قال: سالت ابن عمر عن الصلاة في السفر؟ قال:" الصلاة في السفر ركعتين"، فقال: إنا آمنون لا نخاف احدا، قال: سنة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Abu Hanzala says that I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the prayer during travel. He replied that during travel, the prayer is two rak'ahs. We said, "Now there is peace and security everywhere, and we do not fear anyone?" He replied, "This is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد محتمل للتحسين من أجل أبى حنظلة
