مسند عبد الله بن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله تعالى عنهما
Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 4904
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، اخبرنا سفيان ، عن ابيه والاعمش ، ومنصور ، عن سعد بن عبيدة ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: كان عمر يحلف وابي، فنهاه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" من حلف بشيء دون الله تعالى فقد اشرك"، وقال الآخر:" فهو شرك".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to swear by saying «وابي» . The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him from this and said: "Whoever swears by other than Allah has committed shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
حكم دارالسلام: رجاله ثقات إلا أن سعد بن عبيدة لم يسمع هذا الحديث من ابن عمر مباشرة.
