Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 4989
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حماد بن خالد ، عن ابن ابي ذئب ، ويزيد ، قال: اخبرنا ابن ابي ذئب ، عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن ، عن سالم بن عبد الله ، عن ابيه ، قال: إن كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" ليامرنا بالتخفيف، وإن كان ليؤمنا بالصافات، قال يزيد: في الصبح".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command us to perform short prayers, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself, while leading us in prayer, would suffice with (a few verses) from Surah As-Saffat.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده حسن.
