Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 5959
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حسين ، حدثنا شريك ، عن محمد بن زيد ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: مر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بامراة يوم فتح مكة مقتولة، فقال:" ما كانت هذه تقاتل!" ثم نهى عن قتل النساء والصبيان.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a slain woman on the day of the conquest of Makkah and said, "She was not one who fought." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the killing of women and children.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف شريك، شريك سيئ الحفظ.
