Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 6471
(حديث مرفوع) قال: قرات على ابي: حدثنا حماد بن خالد الخياط ، عن ابن ابي ذئب ، عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن ، عن سالم ، عن ابيه ، قال: إن كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يامرنا بالتخفيف، وإن كان ليؤمنا بالصافات".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command us to perform short prayers, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself, while leading us in prayer, would suffice with (a few verses) from Surah As-Saffat.
