Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 8329
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يرحم الله لوطا، لقد كان ياوي إلى ركن شديد، ولو لبثت في السجن ما لبث يوسف، لاجبت الداعي" .
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: May Allah’s mercy descend upon Prophet Lot (peace be upon him), he was seeking the protection of a strong pillar. And if I had remained in prison for as long as Prophet Joseph (peace be upon him) did, I would have accepted the offer of the one who came.
