Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 9899
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، قال: سمعت العلاء يحدث، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يستام الرجل على سوم اخيه، ولا يخطب على خطبته" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person should bid against his brother's bid, and no person should send a marriage proposal over his brother's marriage proposal.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 1413
