Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) leased a piece of land, which remained with him until his death. His son said: We considered it our property because it remained with us for a long time. When Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) was about to die, he said: It is leased, and he ordered that the rent which was due upon him be paid, in gold or silver.
