(258) باب وقت الدفعة من عرفة خلاف سنة أهل الكفر والأوثان كانت فى الجاهلية.
Chapter: Time of departure from ‘Arafah, contrary to the practice of the pagans in pre-Islamic times
Hadith Number: 2837
حدثنا محمد بن بشار ، حدثنا ابو احمد الزبيري ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن عياش بن ابي ربيعة ، عن زيد بن علي ، عن ابيه ، عن عبيد الله بن ابي رافع ، عن علي ، قال: " وقف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بعرفة، ثم افاض حين غابت الشمس، واردف اسامة بن زيد" ، قال محمد بن إسحاق: اخبر جعفر بن محمد، عن ابيه، عن جابر من هذا الباب ايضا
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at Arafat, then after sunset he returned (to Muzdalifah). He had Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) riding behind him. Muhammad bin Ishaq narrates that the narration of Ja'far bin Muhammad from his father from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) is also related to this chapter.
