It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wa’il bin Hujr al-Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said «‏‏‏‏اللهُ أَكْبَرُ» ‏‏‏‏, he raised both his hands, and when he bowed (ruku‘), and when he raised his head from ruku‘ (he performed the raising of the hands), and when he prostrated, he said:“Like this,”and he distanced his two hands from his armpits, and placed his right thigh over his left thigh, and said:“Place (them) like this.”Wahb (the narrator) raised his index finger and made a knot with the middle finger. Muhammad bin Yahya also pointed with the index finger, made a circle with the middle finger and thumb, and made a knot with the middle finger.
