Mu’adhah ‘Adawiyyah (may Allah have mercy on her) narrates that a woman asked Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her):“Will a woman who was menstruating (and passed away) have to make up the missed prayers?”She replied:“Are you a Haruriyyah (from the settlement of the Khawarij near Kufa)? During the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we too would menstruate, and we neither made up the missed prayers nor were we ordered to do so.”
