٢٠١٦٧ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: نا يحيى بن سليم عن عبد الله بن عثمان قال: حلف اخي (عمر) (١) بن عثمان (بعتق) (٢) جارية له الا يشرب من (يدها) (٣)، إلى ⦗٤٣٧⦘ اجل ضربه فنسي قبل الاجل، فشرب، (فاستفتيت) (٤) له عطاء ومجاهدا وسعيد بن جبير وعليا الازدي وكلهم راى انها حرة.

(١) في [ز]: (عمرو).
(٢) في [س، هـ]: (يعتق).
(٣) في [أ، س، ط، هـ]: (مدها).
(٤) في [ط]: (فاستقيقت)، وفي [ع]: (فاستبقيت).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Uthman (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that my brother Umar bin Uthman (may Allah have mercy on him) swore an oath that if he drank from the hand of such-and-such slave-girl within a certain period, she would be free. Then, before the period was completed, he forgot and drank from her hand. I asked Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Mujahid, Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair, and Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with them all) about this matter, and all of them said that she is free.
