٢٢٨٩٧ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الربيع (بن) (١) صبيح عن يزيد بن ابان عن صبيح (بن عبد الله) (٢) ان عبد الله بن عباس حث الناس على مكاتبه، فجمعوا له فادى مكاتبته، وبقيت فضلة فجعلها عبد الله في المكاتبين (٣).

It is narrated from Hazrat Sabeeh that Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) encouraged people to collect money for the payment of the contract price of a mukatab. People collected wealth for this purpose, the mukatab paid the contract price, and some wealth was left over. So Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) gave that remaining wealth to two other mukatabs.
