٢٩٦٩٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة قال: سالت الحكم وحمادا عن رجل رمى بنار في دار قوم فاحترقوا، قال: ليس عليه قود، (١) لا يقتل.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about a person who threw fire into the house of some people and as a result those people were burnt. What is the ruling regarding him? Both of these gentlemen replied: There will be no qisas (retaliation) upon him; he will not be killed.
