It is narrated from Hazrat Riyah bin Harith that he said: After the death of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and delivered a sermon before the people. He praised and glorified Allah, then said: Surely, that which is to come is near. Undoubtedly, the command of Allah is bound to happen, even if people dislike it. By Allah, I do not like that I should gain even as much as a grain of millet from the affair of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in which even a little blood has been shed, knowing that this affair will not bring me any benefit from things that harm me.
