It is narrated from Abu Tufail that a man from the tribe of Banu Muharib, who was called Amr bin Sula’i, came to Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him),“O Abu Abdullah, tell us what you have seen and witnessed.”Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“O Amr bin Sula’i, tell me about Muharib—are they from Mudar?”He replied,“Yes.”So Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“Indeed, Mudar will continuously kill every believer and put Muslims into trials until Allah, His angels, and the believers will fight them, until, despite their abundance everywhere, they will not be able to defend themselves. Tell me about Muharib—are they from Qais Ailan?”He said,“Yes.”He (Hudhaifa) said,“When you see the tribe of Ailan, when they have come to Syria, then protect yourself.”
