Chapter on what remains after the obligatory shares goes to the agnates

نا محمد بن القاسم بن زكريا، نا هشام بن يونس، نا الدراوردي، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن ابيه،" ان ام كلثوم بنت علي، وابنها زيدا وقعا في يوم واحد، والتقت الصائحتان، فلم يدر ايهما هلك قبل، فلم ترثه ولم يرثها، وان اهل صفين لم يتوارثوا، وان اهل الحرة لم يتوارثوا" .
Jafar Sadiq narrates from his father (Muhammad Baqir): The daughter of Sayyiduna Ali, Umm Kulthum, and her son Zaid (who was the son of Sayyiduna Umar), both passed away on the same day, and the time of their deaths was very close to each other. It could not be determined which of them died first. Therefore, the woman did not inherit from the child, nor did the child inherit from the woman. Similarly, the people of Siffin did not inherit from each other, and likewise, those killed in the incident of Harrah did not inherit from each other.
