It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Bilmani, he says: Four Companions gathered together, one of them said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of a servant until one day before his death. The second said: Did you really hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. He said: And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Surely Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of a servant until half a day before his death. The third said: Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. He said: And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Surely Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of a servant until half a day before his death. The fourth said: Did you hear this hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Surely Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of a servant as long as his soul does not reach his throat.
