It is narrated from Naeem bin Dajanah that Abu Mas’ud Uqbah bin Amr Ansari went to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, and Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said to him: Do you say that after a hundred years have passed over the people, not a single eye among them will blink (i.e., the Day of Judgment will be established and no person will remain alive)? Whereas in reality, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said that today, whoever’s eye is blinking on the face of the earth, that is, whoever human is alive today, after a hundred years from today, not a single one of them will remain alive. By Allah! The real era of prosperity for this Ummah will be after a hundred years as well.
