What Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated regarding tribulations, including the hadiths beginning with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) words: "The Hour will not be established..."
Hadith Number: 12880
وعن حذيفة ابن اليمان رضي الله عنه انه قال يا رسول الله إن كنا في شر فذهب الله بذلك الشر وجاء بالخير على يديك فهل بعد الخير من شر قال ”نعم“ قال ما هو قال ”فتن كقطع الليل المظلم يتبع بعضها بعضا تاتيكم مشتبهة كوجوه البقر لا تدرون ايا من اي“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: O Messenger of Allah! We were in the evil of disbelief, Allah Almighty removed that evil and brought goodness (and the religion of Islam) through your hands. Now the question is, will there be evil again after this goodness? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. He asked: What will that be? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be tribulations, which will come one after another like pieces of a dark night, and they will resemble each other like the faces of cows, and you will not be able to distinguish between them.
