باب فى الفصل بين الأذان والإقامة ومن أذن فهو يقيم
Chapter on the Interval Between Adhan and Iqamah and That Whoever Calls the Adhan Should Also Give the Iqamah
Hadith Number: 1308
عن ابي بن كعب رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((يا بلال! اجعل بين اذانك وإقامتك نفسا يفرغ الاكل من طعامه في مهل ويقضي المتوضئ حاجته في مهل))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bilal! Make such an interval between your adhan and iqamah that the one who is eating can easily finish his food, and the one who is performing ablution can comfortably fulfill his need."
