Chapter on what is reported regarding having good thoughts of Allah and a good ending
Hadith Number: 2983
عن عمر الجمعي رضي الله عنه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: ((إذا اراد الله بعبد خيرا استعمله قبل موته))، فساله رجل من القوم: ما استعمله؟ قال: ((يهديه الله عز وجل إلى العمل الصالح قبل موته ثم يقبضه على ذلك))
It is narrated from Umar Jami’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty intends good for His servant, He uses him. A man from the people asked: What does it mean that He uses him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty grants him the ability to do good deeds before death, then causes him to die in that state.
