Book of Funerals
باب ما جاء فى أن الميت يعذب ببكاء أهله عليه
Chapter on what is reported that the deceased is punished by his family's weeping over him
Hadith Number: 3068
وعنها ايضا ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: ((والذي نفسي بيده إنهم ليبكون عليه، وإنه ليعذب في قبره بذنبه))
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! These people are weeping over him, while he is being punished in the grave because of his sins.
