Chapters on Funeral Prayer
باب ما جاء فى حمل الجنازة والإسراع بها من غير رمل
Chapter on what is reported regarding carrying the funeral and hastening with it without running
Hadith Number: 3194
عن عطاء قال: حضرنا مع ابن عباس رضي الله عنه جنازة ميمونة زوج النبي رضي الله عنها بسرف، قال: فقال ابن عباس رضي الله عنه: هذه ميمونة، إذا رفعتم نعشها فلا تزعزعوها ولا تزلزلوها
Ata says: We were at the place of Sarf with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) attending the funeral of the wife of the Messenger, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). He said: This is Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). When you lift her body, do not move it with force or harshness.
