Section on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Superiority of Shaving Over Trimming
Hadith Number: 4530
(وعنه من طريق ثان) ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: ((اللهم اغفر للمحلقين)) فقال رجل: وللمقصرين؟ فقال: ((اللهم اغفر للمحلقين)) فقال الرجل: وللمقصرين؟ فقال في الثالثة او الرابعة: ((وللمقصرين))
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads. A man said: And for those who shorten their hair? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads. That man said: And for those who shorten their hair? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said the third and fourth time: And forgive those who shorten their hair as well.
