Hadith Number: 4679
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال الجذع من الضان خير من السيد من المعز قال داود السيد الجليل
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: A one-year-old sheep from the sheep breed is better than a mature goat from the goat breed. Dawud said: By "mature" is meant a large (good and healthy animal).
