Chapter on the Command to Fulfill the Request of the One Who Swears, the Concession to Leave It for Excuse, and Whoever Disbelieved His Eyes and Believed the Oath-Taker
Hadith Number: 5333
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها انها قالت اهدت إليها امراة تمرا في طبق فاكلت بعضا وبقي بعض فقالت اقسمت عليك إلا اكلت بقيته فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ابريها فإن الإثم على المحنث
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), a woman sent some dates to her in a tray. She (Aisha) ate some of the dates and some were left, but that woman said to me: I swear by you that you must eat the remaining dates as well. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fulfill her oath, because the sin is upon the one who causes the breaking of the oath.
